About Laurie White
Laurie has written since she could hold a pencil, started blogging in 2005, and has worked in words and pictures full-time for the past ten years.
An original contributing editor and Voice of the Year at BlogHer and BlogHer Food, her publishing credits include BlogHer, Babble, TueNight, Huffington Post, American Journalism Review, and the BlogHer ebook Roots: Where Food Comes From and Where it Takes Us. She currently manages community and communications for Mom 2.0 Summit.

Laurie also has an extensive background in adult education and counseling in nonprofit organizations, and in higher education as a community college counselor, English professor, and academic communications manager and speechwriter.
